Instances

Resource in SSC is allocated in the unit “SSC Coins”.  Coins are then used when provisioning virtual machines and storage resources. This pricing model is consistent with how most public, commercial clouds offer on-demand cloud resources.

You can resize the machine and change the flavor (i.e size) of your instance at any time to match your current computational needs.

Base Images for OS

We provide vendor cloud images for Ubuntu (Latest two LTS releases), Centos (Latest release), Debian (Latest release), CoreOS (Latest release).

We update these images periodically but when you have launched an instance from an image you must make sure to install updates.

If you use automated tools to provision new instances then use the instance name (ex. “CoreOS – latest”) and NOT the internal Image ID alpha-numerical UUID in your provisioning-scripts.
